The Dogwalk® door cannot be removed from the outside. There are no screws. The flap is made out of high impact Polycarbonate (Makrolon) which is bullet proof. When locked in place it is virtually impenetrable.

This alone is worth buying the Dogwalk® dog door. Once the hole in your door or wall is cut out, the inside frame and outside frame just slide into each other. No cutting or constructing of tunnels is required. You can choose among 3 different methods to secure the door. The fastest and easiest installation method requires laying a bead of silicone caulk between the two tunnel sleeves, which will firmly hold the door together. The second method requires drilling rivits through the tunnel. We supply the drill bit and enough rivits to fasten the tunnel together. This method produces a very secure door that is tamper-proof from the outside. The third method involves attaching the tunnel sleeves with provided screws. This method holds the door in as well as the rivits but is not as secure since the door can be removed from the outside. It's the easiest pet door on the market to install. Guaranteed!!
