Endura flap dog doors were first introduced in 2004 by Patio Pacific, and now are one of the most popular and reliable dog doors on the market.  Patio Pacific strongly stands behind its Endura flap dog doors by offering the consumers a 15 year warranty on all its flaps!

What makes Endura flap dog doors unique?  Unlike all the standard rigid vinyl flaps on the market, the Endura flap is soft and flexible.  Cat and dog doors with flaps that are made of rigid vinyl will shrink in cold weather and expand in hot weather.  This results in a shrinking dog door flap in winter that lets the cold air into the house, and an expanding dog door flap in summer that results in a flap that doesn't swing freely (it gets stuck on the dog door frame). 

Endura flap dog doors are flexible and have a patented "bellows" design around the flap edges, which allows for magnets to run on both sides of the flap, maintaining strong contact with the frame when not in use.  This design results in the Endura flap having a good solid seal with the dog door frame in all seasons and all types of weather.  

Endura flap dog doors also have superior insulation values when compared to single flap dog doors.  The Endura flap is a sealed unit that is slightly thicker than a dual-pane glass window and it provides comparable insulation qualities.   Endura flap dog doors are also very durable.  The Endura flap has been lab tested to withstand over 3 million uses without failure.  Patio Pacific stands behind its Endura flap dog doors, offering a 15 year guarantee against failure (excluding chewing damage). 

In addition, rigid vinyl flaps found on other doors need to be replaced frequently due to cracking, yellowing and tearing. Endura Flaps will not tear or crack like those do because they are not screwed into the frame, they are mounted on easy-swinging hinges instead. And Endura flap dog doors do not yellow with time because they are treated with a UV retardant.  In lab testing over 2 years, no yellowing had occurred with the Endura flap!

Patio Pacific manufactures a broad range of dog door models, all of which use the Endura flap in its design.  Patio Pacific sliding glass dog doors are available in two models. The Quick Panel III models are single pane patio door dog doors and the Thermo Panel IIIe models which are dual pane patio dog doors for those extreme weather conditions.
