PetSafe Training Collars

The idea behind PetSafe training collars and PetSafe remote trainers is to give you the ability to immediately correct your dog when he or she engages in unacceptable behavior, even when they are not right next to you.

Instead, the PetSafe Ultrasonic Remote Trainer delivers a tone correction that can be heard by dogs up to 30 feet away from the handheld transmitter.

The range of PetSafe training collars differs between models. For systems that deliver static correction, PetSafe manufactures models that have ranges of 100, 400 and 1,000 yards.

Venture Series PetSafe Remote Trainer Systems
The newest series of PetSafe training collars and transmitters is called Venture Series Remote Trainers. The Venture Series has models with ranges of up to 400 yards or up to 1000 yards. We say "up to" because the actual maximum range will depend on other factors such as weather, terrain/vegetation, and interference from other transmitting devices.

One of the most attractive features of the models in the Venture Series is that both components of the systems -- the PetSafe training collars and the PetSafe remote trainer transmitter -- have rechargeable batteries. This convenience is a huge improvement because many people found they had to replace batteries far too often in older models.

All Venture Series models feature 8 levels of static correction, plus a "boost" button. The boost button will automatically deliver a correction that is 2 levels higher than the level your transmitter is set to. For example, if your handheld transmitter is set to a maximum of level 5 and you hit the "boost" button a level 7 correction will be delivered. These models also include a tone-only function for added training flexibility.
