Staywell Pet Doors

Staywell Pet Doors specializes in small pet doors that are usually uses as pet doors for cats. While Staywell does make pet doors for dogs, they are typically used by very small dogs such as toy breeds. They have a couple of large pet doors available but no XL pet doors. America's Pet Store offers all models of Staywell pet doors so if you are looking for a certain one you'll find it on our website. Staywell pet doors can be installed in house doors or through walls. However they do not make models suitable for use as patio pet doors, nor do they make window pet doors.

Before you buy (either here or anywhere else) we urge you to measure the width of your pet so you can be sure that when you purchase one of our Staywell pet doors it will be wide enough. The best way to measure your pet is to open a door just wide enough for your pet to walk through comfortably and then measure that space.

Another way to measure to be sure that a door is the correct size before you buy it is to cut a hole out of a piece of cardboard that is the exact dimensions of the cat door opening. If your cat or small dog can walk through it without a problem, then it is large enough.

Q. Why is it so important to measure your pet before buying one of the Staywell pet doors, or before buying any other brand for that matter?

A. The most common reason Staywell pet doors are returned is that they are the wrong size; pets can't fit through them. So take our advice, whether you buy from America's Pet Store, or anywhere else, you'll save yourself potential hassle if you measure before you buy. It's not difficult and only takes a few minutes.

Most Staywell pet doors come with a plastic flap that is transparent and flexible. Most frames are constructed from either hard plastic or brushed aluminum. We also carry optional wall extension kits for Staywell wall-mount pet doors, and power adapters and extra keys for Staywell pet doors infrared models.

One of the most popular electronic pet doors in our lineup of Staywell pet doors is the Staywell infrared electronic cat door. You can also find Staywell magnetic cat doors that are great for keeping out uninvited animals such as raccoons.
