Configuring your Tri-Tronics Remote Trainer for multi-dog use

Configuration rules:

All of the Tri-Tronics EXP single-dog models come with 2 extra collar straps (in red and blue), a transmitter charging cradle, a receiver charging cradle, and a dual power supply, along with short and long contact points, a carrying case, instruction guide, and BASIC TRAINING DVD.

Sport Basic G3, Sport Combo G3, and the Sport Upland G3 single-dog models come with 2 extra collar straps (in red and blue), a transmitter charging cradle, a receiver charging cradle, and a single power supply, along with short and long contact points, instruction guide, replaceable 9V battery, and BASIC TRAINING DVD. Carrying case is not included but is available as an option.

Each charging cradle requires a power supply lead. The dual power supply accessory item has two leads that can supply 2 cradles.

All Tri-Tronics EXP models (including the Sport Basic G3, Sport Combo G3, and the Sport Upland G3) can be expanded up to 3 dog models, except the Classic 70 G2 EXP and Trashbreaker G2 EXP which both can be expanded up to 6 dogs.

The "Non EXP" single dog models are not expandable, including the Flyway Special Camo G2 which is available only as a single dog model.

The EXP Receiver or the EXP Receiver/Beeper will work with all units, but the EXP Receiver/Beeper is primarily designed to work with the Upland Special G2 (expansion or replacement) and Sport Upland G3 (expansion or replacement).

If you want to simultaneously charge all devices, below is a summary of what is needed for all multi-dog configurations:

1 dog: Choice of non-expandable or expandable (EXP) version. There is a small premium for the expandable model.

2 dogs: Purchase the expandable EXP single dog model and one EXP Receiver. If you want to simultaneously charge both receivers and the transmitter, you should also purchase one extra receiver cradle and one dual power supply.

3 dogs: Purchase the expandable EXP single dog model and two EXP Receivers. If you want to simultaneously charge all three receivers and the transmitter, you should also purchase two extra receiver cradles and one dual power supply.

Only for either the Classic 70 G2 EXP or Trashbreaker G2 EXP:

4 dogs: Purchase the expandable EXP single dog model, three EXP Receivers, and one collar strap (orange). If you want to simultaneously charge all four receivers and the transmitter, you should also purchase three extra receiver cradles and two dual power supplies.

5 dogs: Purchase the expandable EXP single dog model, four EXP Receivers, and two collar straps (orange and green). If you want to simultaneously charge all five receivers and the transmitter, you should also purchase four extra receiver cradles and two dual power supplies.

6 dogs: Purchase the expandable EXP single dog model, five EXP Receivers, and three collar straps (orange, green, and yellow). If you want to simultaneously charge all six receivers and the transmitter, you should also purchase five extra receiver cradles and three dual power supplies.
