These value priced pet steps are a lower-cost solution to other models. These pet stairs are lower in cost because the materials used in their construction cost less than materials used for other models.
Value Line Steps are made from OSB (Oriented Strand Board) instead of plywood. The use of OSB in no way decreases the strength of the steps, as the OSB is 7/16" thick compared to 3/8" for the plywood standard models use. The steps are covered with a lightweight carpet-like material (Needle Punch Carpet) that could be described as similar to the covering used in some car trunks. The quality of these steps has not been compromised by the use of less expensive materials.
