These steps are lower in cost due to the use of less expensive materials used in their construction. These steps are made from OSB and are covered with a lightweight carpet-like material (Needle Punch Carpet) that could be described as similar to the covering used in some car trunks. The quality of these steps has not been compromised by the use of less expensive materials.
